The Kentfield Fire Protection District Administration Section provides support to the Operations Section, including administrative tasks, record keeping, finance and human resources.
Governed by a 5 member Board of Directors, Kentfield Fire Protection District is a special district under California law. The Board of Directors, Fire Chief, and administrative personnel are responsible for compliance with California laws and regulations, and maintain strict adherence to public and fire standards.
Kentfield Fire Chief Paul D. Smith is appointed by the Board of Directors. Chief Smith leads the Administrative and Operations staff, and reports to the Board of Directors on the District's activities.The administrative section is responsible for providing administrative assistance for all programs in the Kentfield Fire Protection District, maintains and replaces all District capital and facilities, ensures all personnel matters are addressed properly, enforces all department's budget regulations, policies and operating guidelines through an effective management program and budget.
